2020 ICCT

International Conference on

Clothing and Textiles

Fashion and Hyper-Connected Future

May 21-23, 2020       Busan, Korea

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the '2020 International Online Conference on Clothing and Textiles(ICCT)' by the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles (KSCT) at Paradise Hotel, Busan, Republic of Korea, on May 21-23, 2020.

The International Conference on Clothing and Textiles, held successfully in 2018, again invites abstracts for oral and poster presentations, and graduate students’ research competition. The conference features research addressing the annual theme of "Fashion and Hyper-Connected Future.”

In the hyper-connected future, people, things, space, and everything will be networked and communicated, opening a new challenge and chance for every sector in the clothing and textiles industry.    The center of the industry moves quickly from product to service, from hardware to software, from functionality to information. What disruptive innovation will the future of the textile, clothing, and fashion industries experience in a smart-life space? How will the higher education and research paradigm change in response to this?

Minimal research addresses this phenomenon and a robust body of knowledge is lacking to frame understanding. We particularly welcome submissions on topics addressing interdisciplinary knowledge of innovations using competencies in technology across all delivery channels, technologies, and market spaces for the clothing and textiles industry.

Topics for this conference may include (but are not limited to):

  • Design/manufacturing process innovation

  • Change in clothing culture and aesthetics

  • Advancement in shopping/sales/personalization service

  • Innovation in higher education of clothing and textiles academia

  • Big data analysis, AI, 3D printing, IoT, robotics, VR/AR for fashion business

  • Sustainability, high-functional fibers/textiles, high-performance fibers/textiles

  • Smart textiles, wearables, sensing human body signal
